There’s just something about summer that brings music to our ears. From listening to our favorite songs on the radio to mixing the perfect cassette tape to creating an amazing playlist, summer tunes have captivated our hearts and minds for generations.
In Door County – and especially in Egg Harbor – music is engrained in our culture. All types of genres, bands, and artists can be found playing live at a variety of unique venues around town throughout the summer months.

Peg Egan Sunset Concert Series
Come one, come all to the Peg Egan Performing Arts Center for their Sunset Concert Series! These free music events are held every Sunday at 7:00pm from June to August at the Egg Harbor Amphitheatre.
Local and traveling bands alike place their own signature stamps on each concert, including those playing folk, jazz, blues, rock, or some other fun genre.
All you need to enjoy the tunes is a lawn chair, yourself, and a love for live music. Restrooms and drinking water are available for public use.
What’s even better is how close these concerts are to Newport Resort…we’re next-door neighbors! Just a quick walk down the street and you can take part in a live music experience the whole family is sure to love.
Egg Harbor Concerts in the Park
Let’s keep on groovin’ down to Harbor View Park, where you’ll find another great concert series in Egg Harbor throughout the summer months.
These Concerts in the Park are completely free as well and held on Thursday evenings at 5pm from late June through August.
A little something for everyone can be heard and appreciated with the most common types of performers being jazz cats, folk bands, and blues groups.
Just a quick turn around the corner and down Hwy 42 from Newport Resort (within walking distance), the access is easy for families and friends to pop over and enjoy throughout the beautiful summer season.
Birch Creek Music Performance Center
If you’re looking for a more refined musical experience, Birch Creek Music Performance Center offers classical concerts from late June through the end of August.
Featuring four distinct performing acts, the Percussion & Steel Band, Symphony, Big Band Jazz I, and Big Band Jazz II, live concerts can be enjoyed by music lovers young and old all summer long.
These classical performances are held inside the uniquely renovated, century-old Dutton Concert Barn, which seats up to 500 people and is dripping with charm.
Birch Creek is located just a 5-minute drive due east of Newport Resort on County Rd E as a convenient, classical music venue for everyone to enjoy.
